I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for life. With your help, I raised $200 to help find a cure for cancer. It was an amazing event, and I had a wonderful time. It was so inspiring to see all those people donating their time, energy, and money for such a worthy cause. In total, the event raised over $16,000 and touched the lives of hundreds of people in Wayne county.
The survivor lap was especially inspiring. Cancer is such a scary disease that affects thousands of individuals and their family’s every year, and it was amazing to see so many people fighting the disease and winning. As somone who has lost family members to cancer and has friends and family who continue to fight the disease, I desparately hope that someday there really is a cure for cancer.
